Costume #20

"Where the Wild Things Are

- Max Wolfe Costume"

The team of Madelyn Phillips & Bette S.Slowinski will receive a $50 HABERMAN FABRICS Gift Card.

CONGRATULATIONS!

This costume really followed the contest criteria of creativity and originality of design and construction, and interpretation of the subject. It's inspired by the imaginative main character, Max, of the award-winning children's book and new movie, "WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE" by Maurice Sendak.

Runner Up!

Costume #7, the Pirate

The voting was very close. "Max" received 28 votes and the 2nd place vote-getter got just 1 vote less at 27 votes.

So... Haberman Fabrics will award a $25 HABERMAN FABRICS Gift Card to Contestant #7, Jennifer Jamal, for the daring (and darling) Pirate costume.

CONGRATULATIONS!

This costume is beautifully executed, and highly customized from a basic commercial pattern. Great job!

Blog visitors, family, and friends cast a total of 137 votes for their favorite of the 20 contestants.

We asked that you vote just once, stating that we would not count votes from duplicate email addresses. That eliminated 8 votes from 4 duplicate addresses and 3 votes from 1 email address.

All of us at HABERMAN FABRICS want to thank our terrific contestants for participating. You are all talented, creative winners! Thanks also to our voters for choosing the contest winners.

We are thrilled with the wonderful Halloween costumes our contestants created. We even had group costumes: Bo Peep and her flock, Tin Man and Scarecrow, a Pride of Lions, Bugs Bunny and Tweety Bird, Animal and Zoot, and the very original, yummy Sip and Chip. Costumes were scary or regal, wonderful characters. Alas, Harry Potter lost his head. But all in good fun.

Proving once again that it's the greatest to wear a one-of-a-kind original costume.

Hope you had a Happy Halloween. Now, what are you planning for next year? Hmmm?
